Parties and events are conveniently hosted at state and municipal public parks in Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Union, and Somerset counties.

About the instructor.
Hey there! I’m Mike—a lifelong fishing enthusiast, dedicated instructor, and, most importantly, a proud dad and husband.
I’ve spent years exploring New Jersey’s incredible freshwater and saltwater fisheries, and I love sharing my passion for fishing with others. Parties and events are designed to be fun, hands-on (or off), and interactive, with a strong focus on both safety and conservation. Whether it’s a first-time angler or a young fishing enthusiast looking for a day on the water, my goal is to make every event unforgettable.
Safety is my top priority. I’m Red Cross certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid for both pediatric and adult care, and I’ve completed a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting. You can feel confident that your student is learning in a safe, responsible, and supportive environment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have non-fishing guests attend the event?
Yes, you can! We welcome all non fishing guests, no fees involved if your guest does not prefer to fish.
Do you fish from a boat or land?
Our events take place at municipal public parks in Monmouth, Mercer, Middlesex, Somerset, and Union counties. We fish only from land in safe, accessible areas.
Do you offer saltwater courses?
YES- during the months of June-September we offer crabbing parties that take place in the Lavallette to Seaside area.
Can I keep the fish I catch?
We are strictly catch and release and follow all NJDEP Fish and Wildlife rules and regulations.
When are events available?
Our parties and special events take place from late April and continue through the end of October.
What happens if an event needs to be cancelled because of weather?
If weather becomes a factor, we can adjust the time of the event, or reschedule all together. We’ll work with you and offer a full refund if we cannot find an appropriate solution.
Is there an age restriction for guests to participate?
There are no age restrictions. We’ve hosted parties for children and adults. Designed to be fun for all!
Is it possible to make changes to my designated date?
Yes- connect with us, and we’ll make every effort to accommodate your request!
How many guests can I invite?
We prefer no more than 15 anglers per event. You can have additional non-fishing guests attend.
Do I need a fishing license?
NJ DEP Fish and Wildlife requires anyone age 16 and older must have a license to fish the fresh waters of New Jersey (including privately owned waters) with handline, rod and reel or with a bow. To fish for trout or salmon requires a trout stamp.
